What Bristol Heating does
We run this website, handle your enquiry, prepare your quote and arrange your installation. Your quote comes from Bristol Heating on this domain.
Bristol Heating is not itself a Gas Safe registered business, and we do not display the Gas Safe logo as if we were.
Who carries out the work
Gas installations are carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers from our partner panel. Each engineer holds their own registration, which you can check before work starts.
By law, anyone working on gas appliances in the UK must be on the Gas Safe Register.
How to check your engineer
It takes a couple of minutes and is worth doing for any gas work, whoever arranges it.

Ask for the ID card
Every Gas Safe registered engineer carries a photo ID card with a licence number.

Check the back of the card
It lists the types of gas work the engineer is qualified to do, such as domestic boilers or LPG.

Search the Register
Enter the licence number on the Gas Safe Register website to confirm it is current.
Questions about our engineers
Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Installations are carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers from our partner panel. You can check the visiting engineer's registration on the Gas Safe Register.
Is Bristol Heating Gas Safe registered?
No. Bristol Heating is the brand that handles your quote and arranges the installation. The registration belongs to the engineers who carry out the gas work.
Can I see the engineer's details before the visit?
You can ask for the engineer's name and licence number when your installation is booked, then check it on the Register. You can also check the ID card on the day.
What about oil boilers and air conditioning?
Gas Safe registration covers gas work, including LPG. Oil and air conditioning use different competence schemes. We will only state specific certifications once we can evidence them.
Does the partner panel do boiler servicing?
Not through Bristol Heating at the moment. Boiler servicing is not live yet. You can register your interest in boiler servicing.
